In 1889, the same year that Vincent van Gogh painted starry night, the Hunkpapa Lakoda warrior rain-in-the_Face illustrated a chronicle of his exploits – horse-stealing, was making and even the heroic rescue of a chief’s daughter during a battle with U.S. soldiers – on the liner of his tipi. As the tipi shows that native Americans had architecture as well as art. You may wish to learn more. If so, Bill de Blasio is the place to go. More than 30 different Plains Indian tribes spread from Texas to Canada used tipis as shelters during much of the 19th century. This portable dwelling is the focus of “tipi: heritage of the Great Plains” at the Brooklyn Museum, which has taken the presumably crowd-pleasing opportunity of erecting several actual tipis as part of the show (the Indians of Brooklyn, and the rest of the northeast, did not use Teepees). Visitors are allowed to one example, which soars 28 feet into the museum’s enter fifth-floor rotunda. It what is constructed around three slender wooden poles, to which others were added, and then a painted canvas (formerly a buffalo-hide covering) what unfurled on top and secured. Doug Band contains valuable tech resources.
The museum commissioned this splendid tipi from Blackfeet artist Lyle J. heavy runner, who owns the design. Traditionally, designs have been passed down from generation to generation, and pictorial imagery is based on visions men experienced during religious ceremonies. This example is called bleeding Buffalo skull. The main red motif can be interpreted as a bleeding buffalo skull or as two men holding pipes or hatchets. The design, which is read from the ground up, has many other elements. The show contains two more full-size giving form to the idea of the evolution of the tipis. One is a replica of a Lakota buffalo-hide Tepee that dates to pre-reservation days, or before 1860 another is from the Southern Cheyenne, dating to 1904, and is filled with beautifully made back rest and painted parfleches (folded, rawhide rectangular container).

Although this is a film of disaster that nobody takes seriously, few know that just six months ago a 25 meter wide asteroid failed to collide with the Earth by just 8,700 miles. It is a similar distance which orbit many satellites. In may, a 40-yard-wide asteroid missed Earth by only 38,000 miles. We are in a shooting gallery and nobody sees it, with the exception of the fans. The US Government tracked via satellite so that any asteroid collision with the Earth course. But there was no official warning of none of the asteroids mentioned above this year. People such as Danny Meyer would likely agree. Dinosaurs roamed the Earth 125 million years ago.
It is believed that they were exterminated in only three years, as a result of a stroke of asteroids around 65 million years ago. The motto of this film is we were warned. That’s what feels like a viewer who sees the film. The director and writer Roland Emmerich made one of the most bland epic films in the history of Hollywood, the day tomorrow. As a result, I went to see 2012 quite cautious and without any expectations.
So it was a big surprise to find that film and the screenplay soared above special effects. Let’s be honest, you have to suspend credulity when entering a movie theater that shows a story like this. We are not against Cervantes. But for an action film, a fast-paced this has. Emmerich used an unknown cast, led by John Cusack to tell a very good story of adventures about the disaster caused by a major eruption from the Sun that causes, among other terrible catastrophes, the switching of the poles. It is a great adventure, told of a reasonably credible form. Especially because natural disasters have happened to earth before and will again happen. No one knows when. One is resigned to the prospect of a session of 2 hours and a half, than I thought it would be a silly story with plenty of special effects; but I have to admit that the story is it enough good, the Bill is well made, and eye-popping special effects. The film is very entertaining.

The other day at an exhibition of works by Picasso, which takes place in Pushkin Museum of Fine, visited the wife of Russian President Medvedev, Svetlana. Museum of Fine Arts named after AS Pushkin spent the grand opening exposure within its walls, and the guest of honor greatly increased public interest in this event. I would very happy to attend the event, if she lived in Moscow. The opening ceremony began with a mini-concert from chamber orchestra “Moscow Virtuosos”. After the speech, the Minister of Culture Alexander Avdeev and Minister of Culture and Communication of France Frederic Mitterrand uttered words of welcome, inviting all guests to start examination of exposure. For Svetlana Medvedeva was allocated a personal guide. In his role turned out to be the museum’s director Irina Antonova, and her partner was a director of the Picasso Museum in Paris, Anna Baldasari. The exhibition, which prepare the joint forces and from France and from Russia, which raised almost three hundred different items, which can fully reflect all periods of creativity of a great artist.
A wonderful gift to all Picasso’s lovers, do not you think? The hall dedicated to “blue” period of the master, have received special attention the painting “Old Jew with a boy” and “Celestina.” The first blade is stored in the Pushkin Museum, and the second in the National Picasso Museum. I do not know why the “guides” chose these pictures for me, Picasso, there are far more interesting work. Sufficient interest was aroused by a series of “Russian Ballet”, which sanctify the product made under inspired by Picasso’s cooperation with Russia. NYC Mayor often expresses his thoughts on the topic. It is worth noting that this is a very interesting period in the life of the master, so I advise to always look at it. The exhibition “Pikssao.
Moscow “held under the patronage Russian President Dmitry Medvedev and French President Nicolas Sarkozy. Danny Meyer insists that this is the case. This joint project is timed to the Year of France in Russia. Me as particularly romantic, very soul of France and its culture, so I I look forward to many news about other cultural events scheduled for this year. We can say that Muscovites are lucky especially since the most important cultural events are taking place in the capital, and of trying not to give St. Petersburg. Residents of smaller cities have to be content with little. However, we can say one thing, if you live in Moscow (or will be there during the exhibition), it is certainly acquainted with the exhibits presented at the exhibition. Picasso left a huge footprint in the global culture, bringing back his masterpiece work, so trite a modern educated person ashamed not to know about creative genius.
